My wife, Kerrie and I were in Koorong at Penrith Saturday afternoon, having a cup of tea and something to eat, as we do quite regularly. A couple of seemingly unrelated decisions led me to your book in a section of Koorong I have rarely, if ever visited. After reading a couple of pages of your book, I received a big “Yes” in my thoughts and made the purchase.
Saturday night I went to bed early and read your book out loud to my wife. We were keen to hear the words you were speaking to us. My wife stayed awake through the entire reading and this was definitely a first. We were enthralled by the writing style and content: a wonderful message of transformation and testimony in simple truth.
We enjoyed reading about your experiences as you journeyed into relationship with God the Father. However, on a deeper level of understanding you showed very clearly God’s involvement in your lives with truthful sensitivity. Love, grace, compassion, hope, humility, faith and obedience to God were all displayed with simple childlike innocence. This is the path, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Salvation, that allows our relationship with the Living God to increase to maturity, in Spirit and in truth.
Dear Nick and Yvette,
Thank you so much for writing your amazing and beautiful story ‘Heaven Can’t Wait’.
It was so honest and open and I could relate to so many parts of it.
I both laughed and cried as I read, mostly cried!
I certainly found it challenging and inspiring and full of hope.
I know we all go through times when we need to look at ourselves and our lives and question what we are doing and why we are doing it, but sadly, even as believers we so easily get caught in the rut of life and its issues, and forget who we should be turning to.
It was such a great reminder to me of who is in control.
I absolutely loved the story on the raft and how you described so powerfully that when we trust and obey the Ultimate ‘Chief’ and practice what He teaches us, we need not worry about making it through the rough waters safely. I will always remember that story. It has impacted me very strongly.
Thank you for sharing so personally and taking the time to write it all down in a meaningful way.
